you could drive a bus through that generation...
On Friday I went to see The Pulpit playing in a bar on Suffolk St called Pacino’s. The place was packed, really jumping, which was great. They’re one of my favourite Dublin bands and are really nice people too, so it was awesome to see them not only putting on a killer show, as always, but also getting a big crowd.
The promoter of the night was a hilarious girl that used to hang out...

Advantages of living at home pt. 1
My parents went to the shop and came back with 6 Prazsky for me. My Da went to put them in the fridge and dropped one, bursting it. Reacting quickly, he rescued almost all of it into a glass and handed it to me. Way to encourage me being responsible whilst unemployed Da. Sure, 2:30 pm is a fine time to start drinking.. Bye Friday!
Coke Talk of the Day
coketalk:
I wasn’t going to say anything, but the Salinger worship is getting a little out of hand. Honestly, people. Catcher in the Rye is basically a Judy Blume book that grew a little hair on its balls.
Before all you English majors get your panties in a twist, go pull that paperback with the red cover off your top shelf and give it a fresh look now that you’re not writing a high school book...
A modest proposal
blaaargh:
steampoweredmedia: When writing stories of The South, we should get to lowercase cokes. It is not Coca-Cola we’re getting when going to the store for cokes. We could come back with tea or Mountain Dew or Dr. Pepper or root beer or Wink or Squirt or SunDrop.
electricshambles: This is very very true. I always say I’m going to get a coke…but I almost never actually get Coca-Cola. coke...

I went to a friend's for dinner last night
I brought dessert (a nice batch of brownies) and a bottle of wine with me. I drank the bottle of wine. I ate a good portion of the brownies. I came home with a bag of books to read. I’m not sure if that makes me a good guest, or a terrible one.
i hate my life and having no money.

Sundays are the king of feeling like this. I suggest listening to Wildchild by W.A.S.P. at top volume and dancing round the house. It’s what I was doing before I came on tumblr and my spirits have risen considerably.

Things I learned in the pub last night
Complimenting a girl on her stylish waistcoat/braces combo followed by discussing the merits of Johnny Depp -vs- Robert Downey Jr. is a good way to get her interested in talking to you.
This is also a good way to get her boyfriend interested in kicking your ass.
When people tell you that they intend on getting the last bus home they’re usually lying.
I can eat a lot of burgers when...
Game on Bitches! →
What I liked about today was the desire on display. It wasn’t a game of skill, it was one of wills, and that’s the best kind of game.
To put this in proper perspective, Ed Hardy is so hated by white people that it...

Interviews are fun..
it’s one of the only times in life that you’re legitimately allowed to lie your ass off. I got off to a cracking start in that respect as I woke up at 9:20 while my interview was scheduled for 10. I craftily waited until 9:50 to phone them, citing a delayed train as the cause: the benefit of this approach in Dublin is that no one is ever surprised or even suspicious of an excuse...

I have a job interview tomorrow!!
I’m really looking forward to getting dressed up and meeting two nice women who will assess me based on various competencies that they feel are important. What’s even better is that seen as I’ve been on a couple of dates over the past week or so, I’m well prepared to make a good first impression. My only question is should I sleep with them before or after they offer me the...
